As you are aware the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) is in the process of initiating the second competitive bidding project in the three county metropolitan San Antonio area. During the project Medicare beneficiaries needing nebulizer medications will only be allowed to use providers who have been awarded vendor status for the project.

We are pleased to announce that Longhorn Drug Company has been selected by HCFA as one of the pharmacies to provide unit dose medication administered through low volume nebulizers.

Longhorn Drugs offers the following services to you and your patients using Unit Dose Respiratory Medication.

• Medications are delivered to your patient’s home at no additional charge.
• The initial prescriptions are delivered the next day.
• We offer a sample medication program supplied by the unit dose manufacturer.
• Your patients are called monthly for refill orders.
• Patient service brochures are available for your office upon request.
• Multiple drugs can be compounded into one unit dose vial at your request.
• We will work with you and your patient to insure compliance with your instructions.
• We accept Medicare, Texas Medicaid, and most third party insurance.
• Same-day emergency service available through local pharmacies.
• Our pharmacists are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to service your patients.
